McLaren double in Budapest: Norris wins, Piastri second!

Third place went to George Russell (Mercedes). This race on the twisty Hungaroring track once again confirmed its reputation as one of the toughest of the season, adding new intrigue to the championship battle.

From 1 to 3 August, spectators watched exciting events on the track. Charles Leclerc, who started from pole position at the wheel of a Ferrari, was unable to maintain his lead and finished the race in fourth place. The McLaren team demonstrated not only high speed, but also brilliant tactical preparation, using different strategies for their drivers. Norris chose a one-pit stop strategy and was able to keep Piastri behind, who attacked him on fresher tyres. This double success was McLaren’s seventh this season and brought the team its 200th victory in its history.

The weekend was unsuccessful for Ferrari: despite Leclerc’s successful start, the team encountered technical problems during the race. Reigning champion Max Verstappen of Red Bull also struggled and finished only ninth.

The entire motorsport world is eagerly awaiting the finale in Abu Dhabi, a grand event that will take place from 5 to 7 December at the Yas Marina Circuit. This Grand Prix will be the decisive battle for the world championship title.
